I've been providing hardwood flooring services since 1997. I'm located in Flowery Branch and serve Lake Lanier and adjoining areas. Whether you desire to have new flooring installed or you require existing floors refinished, I am glad to take care of your hardwood flooring projects. I do the work myself so you know who you're dealing with right from the start. I consult with you to help you make the best decision concerning your floors.
To best serve my customers' needs, I install a variety of hardwood flooring products. These include solid unfinished and prefinished products. With prefinished flooring, you can choose from solid hardwood, engineered flooring, laminate or LVT (luxury vinyl tile). There are essentially three ways to install flooring: nail-down, glued or floating (snap-together). The manufacturers in the flooring industry offer a myriad of products for the consumer that can vary greatly in style and price range, so visiting some product websites or local retailers can assist you with getting an idea on which choice will best fit your needs and tastes.
I refinish most species of solid hardwood flooring and some prefinished flooring, depending on it's thickness. I use a dust containment system which greatly reduces the excess dust and results in a cleaner, smoother finish. After you choose the stain color you prefer for your floors and stain has been applied, the next step is to coat the floors with oil-based polyurethane or waterborne finishes. Additional services include removing and hauling off carpet, installing transitions as needed and removing old and installing new shoe molding. Shoe molding can be painted or stained depending on your preference. I also can remove furniture and replace it as needed.
I also provide the recoating of floors. This can be a much less expensive alternative than completely refinishing floors particularly when a floor is in relatively good condition with minimal wear and tear. Usually one coat of polyurethane is applied after the floor has been properly prepared. The job is completed in one day and the floor can be walked on the next day.
Furniture can be moved back after the floor has dried for two days. You can choose from satin, semi-gloss or gloss finishes. Recoating floors can be an excellent choice when preparing a home for resale as that is one of the first things a prospective buyer sees.
